Things to Remember When Taking Wild Animal Pictures

Posted by admin on Sep 30, 2009 in Waterproof Digital Camera Articles

You may be fascinated with images of animals in the wild. At one point in your life you might think the pictures of animals that are rarely seen in the city. You can also documentaries where professional photographers slowly through the bushes, not simply crawl to a feeding lion or a sleeping bear to disturb've seen. You can never know, you might get a chance, pictures of animals to walk freely in nature. If you use this chance, you might have noted the following pointsTips and rules.

Think of all, many professional photographers in relation to these animals and the environment they are just reminded that you should respect the animals and the environment if they provoked the animal will bite or injury.

Please note that you are pictures of real wild animals. When provoked, or tame a wild animal bites to protect itself. They must in their paintings and lowercase letters. In this sense, in all soft Their movements. Not support in any way, interfere or interact with animals, sleeping, feeding, grooming and animals for their young, and especially when they are breeding.

His consciousness. Some animals tend to leave their homes if they are threatened, so that their children unattended and helpless.

If you are visiting, which to a place where it is in private ownership is maintained it is best to begin the owner's consent before recording.

Change the flash of your> Camera in natural light, so that the animals do not be alarmed or surprised if you start shooting. Animals do not respond well if they are surprised.

Be very attentive and patient. Make sure that you are aware of the changes in the activities of the animal and its moods. Be with the natural habitat of those affected, and never provocative, never an animal.

Well, if the rules are clear, it is time for planning. If you capture the images of wild animals in their habitat, it is betterPlan ahead, plan and prepare, if your photo shoot will be there. Also consider the weather, some animals that do not go when it rains, and some animals love the rain. So hurt, not a little research about the weather. You should consider using photos after sunrise and before sunset. Well, if the animal is nocturnal, you should prepare to battle not only the wild, but also the darkness.

If you plan to leave the city and venture into the wilderness, you really need tobe excited about your wild adventures of life. You can be as long as you very well equipped, and you have the experts to you, and also a permit for the photo shoot. If you are not one of these or if you just drop the voltage, then perhaps you should consider first visit to the zoo. You can take pictures of wild animals in a much safer environment.

How to Use a Waterproof Digital Camera Housing

Posted by admin on Sep 29, 2009 in Waterproof Digital Camera Articles

So you have a brand new waterproof digital camera have housing, and are about to go on your vacation, here are some snapshots under water content. It might be worth a few minutes to learn how to do it right before use to spend outdoors. In this article will highlight some important considerations before making your camera body in a humid environment. If you do something wrong in the water, you will not get a second chance "to get picture of alifetime ", and if you accidentally on misuse of your house you do not have a working camera at all!

First, and it sounds obvious, you must read the instructions that came with your device! It seems simple enough: Simply connect the camera to pop and the cover. But why risk ruining a camera too, because you forgot to install the rubber seal properly? Or even remember what for a number of smaller parts, which contribute to that body of work involved.

If youYour camera bought on eBay or lost the instructions, just head over to the Web site of the manufacturer for more information.

Most waterproof digital camera housing is supplied with a rubber O-ring or loop of some kind coming. These rings sit between the large living room and slip the hole for the camera in. It is important that you regularly inspect the rubber ring for any deficiencies. These rings have the potential to reduce over time, andto weaken repeated opening and closing the cover. Fortunately, they are a part. It might pay to buy one or two extras in advance, because it is very difficult to find in the holidays, let alone from a boat on the reef, where you dive!

You should really test the case before it in the water. Work out how to control the camera while in its case and the practice do so with their eyes closed. At the time, turn off the water that youcan be based on fun, instead of fighting to get the camera to focus and took pictures. Manufacturers will recommend that you check the camera under water at home and check for leaks before it outside. Here's my tip: first test of the camera is in a "dry liquid" like sand. Just bury the camera shake in some sand, and they are a little bit. Chemical particles will identify a lot easier than liquids and easy to reach from the camera, if there are anyLeaks in the case. Was carried out after the test run, you can try a wet. Some manufacturers suggest leaving it on overnight under water in a bucket or your kitchen sink. Perhaps there are a few seconds, then a few minutes, to be sure there are no obvious leaks.

Finally, you must be careful when removing the camera from the waterproof digital camera housing after use. Dry the housing so that there is no visible water, the leak is, ifYou open the seal. A towel is but a hair dryer on low heat setting is best if you use a cell phone. It would also be good to wash the body good, if you use it in a salt-water environment. This keeps the unit clean and clear of any salt residue dries on the surface.

I will admit I was a skeptic when I bought this camera. I have a toddler and a tech-retarded wife, both of whom are responsible for previous spectacular digicam annihilations. So I turned to the Stylus 790 more out of desperation than anything.

Now I admit to being a total convert. For the price-point, I was just hoping for something that took mediocre pics and wouldn't die in 6 months at the hands of my ruthless gadget assassins. It, in fact, takes remarkable pictures, comes with a ton of handy features barely noted on Amazon, and really is indestructible.

Really. And by indestructible I mean it has survived being burried at the beach, dropped in the bubble bath, thrown in the toilet (more than once), gone through the dishwasher cycle (don't ask), dropped from our 3-level balcony to the sidewalk below, and having been laundered (washer AND dryer).

Plus battery is good for hundreds of shots, the video clips are surprisingly crisp, and I rarely have issues with blurry pictures any more. Also, Olympus' face-finding technology is pretty amazing stuff.

Overall I would highly recommend this camera on its own merits as a great camera. The fact the it survived my household is the icing on the cake, since (I hope) you won't be nearly as rough in testing it. Enjoy!
Great Performance in a small package

I am a pro photographer, shooting with a Nikon D2Xs. I was looking for a compact camera for my wife, when I saw this camera in the reviews, it seemed like a good choice. I did some research and found a SCUBA website that tested it to 64' deep, and although the depth gauge stops at 30 something feet, it performed fine event at over double the rated depth.

I was specifically concerned about the contrast these little point and shot cameras have, coming from the world of pro DSLRs... This isn't a $4500 D2Xs, but I was very surprised how good the picture is. The large screen is very sharp and bright. The integrated lens cover is metal, and seems like it would be sturdy.

I would recommend this camera as a high performance compact point-and-shoot.
Tonka Tough digital camera...

Pros
He's a tough little guy, he's not going to break if you bump him or spill on him
He's an attractive camera
He's small enough to go with you anywhere
He's easy to hold and handle, he comes with a safety strap too
He's easy to use, no steep learning curve, just point and shoot
He's plug-n-play style with Windows XP, no software install required

Cons
His battery doesn't recharge unless you pop it physically out of the camera and pop it into a separate charging tray

Additional Thoughts
It's a good-looking, tough, small camera -- perhaps more bulky than the pictures you see on the web reveal, but still small and comfortable in the hand. I didn't need the manual to start using it right away. I am enjoying new freedom from paranoia! I know that if I knock this camera around a bit it's not going to die on me. The toughness of the camera makes me brave about it, and that's why I bought it. As for picture quality, features, battery life... they all seem very good to me, pretty standard for your daily point-n-shoot. I've have the camera for a few weeks now and I use it constantly. Again, the big selling point is its hardiness. I am not shy about keeping it with me in a bag or pocket because it can handle being bounced around a little. I haven't found a thing about this little guy I don't like! :-)
Small is beautuful

I'm still figuring out all the bells and whistles, but so far, I'm mightily pleased with this camera. The built-in user guide makes it easy to figure out which setting to use for certain shots. The stabilization feature is great for low-light and fast-action shots. Overall, I think Olympus has developed a splendid and intuitive user interface. Most of all, I love how compact and attractive it is. ai can carry it in just about any pocket or purse and be ready to take all those shots I missed because I didn't have a (good, bulky) camera with me.
Happy I moved to Olympus from Canon (YUCK!)

Review Date: February 8, 2008
Reviewer: E. SOSA, Florida, USA
This camera is awesome. I used to own a Canon SD600 which was great for what we needed. But just like my 2 Canons before that, it stopped working within a year of purchase. Everyone had told me that Canon was the best but after 3 strikes I was sick of paying the money. And when I sent the Camera back to Canon for repair (under warranty mind you) they told me it would cost $107 to fix because I dropped it. I have never dropped that camera, EVER. Then they had the nerve to offer me the AD900 at a discounted price. This camera has a Titanium shell and got super poor reviews for being fragile, of all things. I'm done with Canon. After a few weeks of research, I settled on this camera.

The Olympus 790SW is awesome. Great pics, awesome built in features. We make calendars right on the camera and send them out as post cards every month. It's water proof and we've taken underwater pics in the pool with it. It's light so it feels cheap but clearly is not. The video is only 25 seconds at high resolution but on the 2nd to highest setting it'll go on forever. We haven't been able to test the image stabilization because the camera just refuses to take a picture out of focus or blurred. I haven;t experienced any of the artifacts at high resolution that others have complained about. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a point and shoot. It truly is the only point and shoot I have ever encountered (more so than the Canon(s) I have had). Don't be scared off by the orange color. There are others available but the orange color looks distinct and cool. The Sound quality is great too and the flash is bright. Still not convinced? Go to your local Best Buy or Circuit City. Even best buy told me that if you don't want a Canon, this is the best Camera to get and the toughest. Plus, you can play with it there too. Again, don't let it's weight throw you off (it's very light). Check it out at any decent electronics store but buy it at Amazon to get the best price.

Hope you get one. You won't regret it.
